Generalized periodic epileptiform discharges (GPEDs) are EEG patterns characterized by repetitive, generalized, sharp waveforms occurring at regular intervals. These patterns represent abnormal synchronous neuronal discharges, frequently associated with diffuse cerebral dysfunction.
