Focal Areas of Signal Intensity (FASI) represent a common and distinctive neuroimaging feature observed in children diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis Type-1 (NF1). These imaging abnormalities appear as hyperintense lesions primarily on T2-weighted MRI sequences and are most frequently noted in the basal ganglia, cerebellum, brainstem, and thalamus.
