Before You Submit a Request for a New Article

Review the evaluation criteria to ensure your proposal meets the requirements outlined below.

Existing Articles

Perform a thorough search on CNKE.ORG to verify whether your proposed topic is already covered or could be integrated into an existing article. Use various related keywords to ensure a comprehensive search.

If a relevant pre-existing article is found:

  • Edit the article to include your contributions.
  • You will be automatically recognized as a contributor to that article.
  • Note: Most proposals are not accepted because the topic is already covered or could be integrated into an existing article.

Previously Submitted Proposals
Review previously submitted proposals to ensure your topic has not already been submitted.

Evaluation Criteria
Requests for new articles will be evaluated based on the following:

  • Relevance: Articles must primarily focus on child neurology or closely related subjects.
  • Evidence-based: Topics must be supported by existing literature, evidence, and/or expert consensus.
  • Originality: Topics should not significantly overlap with existing articles on CNKE.ORG.
  • Focus: Articles addressing broader medical conditions should concentrate on child neurology-related aspects.

Submission Process to propose a new article:

  1. Add your proposal to the designated "New Article Requests" page on CNKE.ORG, including a brief description of the topic.
  2. Do not submit a complete article.
  3. Ensure you’ve reviewed the evaluation criteria and performed a thorough search for existing articles.

Article Titles

  • Titles should be concise, specific, and consistent with other CNKE.ORG article titles.
  • Titles should align with standard medical terminology and reflect current clinical usage.
  • The editorial team reserves the right to revise titles for consistency.

Response Time
New article requests are typically reviewed within 2 working days. Response times may vary depending on submission volume.

If Your Proposal is Not Approved
If your new article proposal is not accepted, editors may recommend that you incorporate your contributions into existing articles. This aligns with Wiki principles and enhances CNKE.ORG as a collaborative resource.

Once approved:
A blank article page will be created on CNKE.ORG.
You will receive a link to the article page to begin editing.
