Types of AAC

1. Unaided Communication:
   • Relies on the individual's body, such as gestures, facial expressions, or sign language.
2. Aided Communication:
   • Low-technology systems:
     • Includes photographs, pictograms, or communication boards.
   • High-technology systems:
     • Voice Output Communication Aids (VOCAs).
     • Devices with synthesized speech.
